Sassy

I began combining tribal components to form one-of-a-kind necklaces and bracelets. The response from friends, family and co-workers made me realize it was possible to evolve what I was doing for myself into something more.

At the time I was considering both the creation of jewelry for others and the business name of Sassy Zebra, I walked into a hotel room found that every piece of furniture in the room was made of zebrawood. I heeded that sign as confirmation and Sassy Zebra is the result.

Creativity and uniqueness have always been themes in my life, so it is only natural they would be reflected in Sassy Zebra. Using components from traditional jewelry of nomadic tribes in Afghanistan and Pakistan, I combine these pieces with beads in unexpected ways. My energy and imagination are reflected in each Sassy Zebra creation.

While some pieces may be similar, no two are alike and each piece has been specifically crafted. The design of the tribal pieces and the beads selected to highlight them result in distinctive jewelry.

In addition to necklaces and bracelets, I explore what I call "Eclectables" (eclectic collectables) by using larger pendants on wooden boxes, picture frames, and furniture.
